Step by Step Instructions: How to Participate in Recycled Rides
- Contact NABC by phone, fax or e-mail to get general information.
- Become a member of NABC.
- Sign up for the project and pay the participation fee.
- Once signed up for the program you will receive the first mailing with the workbook and all associated materials, both in hard copy and CD.
- Read the workbook which provides a step by step process about program participation. Use the time line and tracking sheets provided in the workbook
- Shortly after signing up for Recycled Rides you will be contacted by SeeProgress which is providing complimentary usage of their AutoWatch program to interested participants. Those who chose to use it will be able to have their customers watch progress of the vehicle repairs by enabling you to link it to your website, as well as to the NABC Recycled Rides website.
- NABC will send periodic electronic reminders to help you adhere to the recommended timelines.
- Use the Recycled Rides committee contact information on NABC’s Recycled Rides web page if you have questions or need advice.
- NABC and representatives of the Recycled Rides committee will periodically be in touch to find out if you need support.
- Three weeks before the presentation of the vehicle you will be sent the large green bow, event day banner and the certificate of participation.
- On Monday, November 24, 2008 (the Monday before Thanksgiving) 100 shops nationwide present vehicles as part of NABC's Recycled Rides program.
